Support cogeneration operations and assist the Shift Engineer with plant systems used to produce steam and power. Monitor and maintain plant equipment, operate fuel, boiler, and ash-handling systems, record operational issues, and support safe start-up, shutdown, draining, and lockout procedures.

Monitor silviculture projects and tree-planting contractors, conduct quality control, and support aerial tending, site preparation, forest surveys, and inspections. Assist with forest management plan implementation and progress documentation while maintaining effective relationships with contractors, Indigenous communities, other forest users, and stakeholders.

Support forest management and operations programs, including silviculture, wood measurement, forest renewal, and implementation of annual work schedules and forest management plans. Maintain accurate roundwood inventories and scaling compliance, support safety and certification programs, coordinate with forest stakeholders, and travel between Hearst and Kapuskasing.
