Job Details Description SUMMARY: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant holds a critical role in capturing and reporting all financial reporting. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for managing special projects and analysis as needed. Duties And Responsibilities Primary focus is on financial reconciliation in all areas of finance and accounting, including but not limited to balance sheet accounts. Assist in preparation of monthly Financial Statements Responsible for variance analysis of results, comparing actual results to budget and prior year. Preparation of month end journal entries, prepaid and accruals Prepare Depreciation and Gain/Loss on disposal entries. Reconciliation of intercompany accounts, credit cards and Concur. Approve ACH and wire transfers. Provide support in the forecasting and budgeting process, including communicating with business partners, updating compensation inputs, and understanding and explaining variances. Support external and internal auditors’ inquiries on a quarterly and annual basis. Identify and provide recommendations for process improvements. Preparation and submission of GST/HST, QST and PST Implement procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of resulting data. Ensure established accounting controls are adhered to. Perform other various ad-hoc analysis as requested by management. Other duties as assigned. Skills And Experience Required Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (MS Office Suites, etc.) A background with distribution organizations is preferred. Experience with P21 and CRM software preferred. Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented. Strong sense of urgency and accountability Strong problem solving and communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment Highly autonomous and takes individual initiative. Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines; strong attention to detail and provides work that is accurate, thorough, and consistent. Strong analytical skills to analyze complex information. REMOTE/HYBRID WORK REQUIREMENTS: In order to work remotely the Employee Must: Reside in Canada.
