This role includes working varying shifts and also includes a shift differential for graveyard shifts. This is your opportunity to use your Ice Facility Operator (IFO), Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification or 4th-5th class Power Engineer certification and mechanical aptitude to keep Planet Ice's facilities in Delta and Coquitlam running at peak efficiency. To qualify for this role you already have your IFO or RO certificate, or you are a 4th or 5th class Power Engineer, and for bonus points, you have a knack for fixing all things mechanical and a couple years' experience working in an arena. The Arena Operator is responsible for maintaining the refrigeration plant and all other aspects of the building. This includes driving the Zamboni and ensuring the facilities run at peak efficiency.

Candidates must have an Ice Facility Operator (IFO) or Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification, or be a 4th or 5th class Power Engineer. Experience in arena operations and strong mechanical skills are preferred, but training can be provided for those new to the field.
