This is a full-time, permanent position with occasional overtime or adjusted hours as project requirements dictate. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate survey data that meets client and regulatory requirements. We're looking for someone who can quickly become a productive member of our team, works well independently, and takes pride in delivering quality work with minimal supervision. Duties and Responsibilities Lead and supervise a survey field crew performing Legal surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys Liaise with Landowners, clients, and construction site supervisors in a professional manner Document all field work performed through field notes, checklists and data gathered from survey equipment Ensure survey data is complete, accurate, and ready for office processing. ·Train, mentor, and provide direction to junior survey staff and assistants. ·Work safely and in accordance with company safety policies, provincial regulations, and client site requirements. Other duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Surveying, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of progressive field survey experience, including experience leading a survey crew. Experience in cadastral (municipal and rural legal surveys) topographic, and construction surveying. Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record. Candidates with valid Safety tickets (First Aid, CSTS WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance) are preferred Strong working knowledge of modern survey equipment and software Experience with the use and safe operation of ATVs and other off-road vehicles. Ability to work independently while managing field priorities. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking long distances over uneven terrain.
