Role Description The Landscape Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnaby, BC, responsible for overseeing daily landscape maintenance operations for assigned properties. This role plans and coordinates crew schedules, assigns tasks, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The supervisor monitors turf, plant, and irrigation system conditions; identifies maintenance needs; and directs crews in mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and seasonal clean-ups. The position also involves training and mentoring team members, inspecting work quality, communicating with clients and office staff, and reporting issues or recommendations. The supervisor is expected to operate and oversee use of landscape equipment, support basic troubleshooting and maintenance needs, and uphold all safety and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance oversight. Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills to ensure safe, reliable operation of landscape tools and machinery. Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting skills to address common issues with irrigation, equipment, and site conditions. Experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or a related field; formal training or certification (e.g., horticulture, landscaping, irrigation) is an asset. Knowledge of safe work practices, including familiarity with local health and safety regulations and ability to promote a safety-first culture. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, coworkers, and management. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions and to use landscape tools and equipment safely. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; experience operating trucks and trailers is an advantage.
