Job summary
Harvard Developments has an immediate opening for an experienced HSE Administrator to join our Health, Safety & Environment team in either Calgary or Edmonton. Harvard is a full-service real estate management company based in Western Canada that is recognized for its reputation in leadership, flexibility, quality, and performance, currently overseeing more than 9 million square feet of commercial properties with regional offices in Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. The position is primarily responsible to: Adhere to role-specific responsibilities outlined in Harvard’s HSE Manual; Perform formal HSE work site inspections and audits per established frequency for program and regulatory compliance (frequent travel around Alberta is required, 50-75% of the time); Investigate Health, Safety or Environment incidents in Alberta, working with management to meet reporting requirements and with supervision to provide corrective actions; Work with procurement team to evaluate potential contractors and audit current contractors; Participate in OH&S Committee, Safety and Toolbox meetings with our Alberta operational field teams. Assist management and field staff in the accomplishment of their duties such as onboarding and training personnel in HSE, maintenance of the COR program, assessment of safe work plans and site hazards, review of supplier compliance, etc. Preference will be given to the individual that possess: National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or equivalent; 3-5 years safety management experience. What you’ll do
The HSE Administrator is responsible for conducting site inspections, auditing contractors, and investigating health, safety, and environmental incidents. They also support field staff with safety training, hazard assessments, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Candidates should possess 3-5 years of safety management experience and a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of safety legislation, and strong communication skills are required.
