General Helper

Position Summary The General Helper supports the Service, Sales, and Parts departments by assisting with shop organization, equipment movement, building maintenance, cleaning, deliveries, and general yard duties. This role is essential to keeping the dealership clean, organized, safe, and operating efficiently. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to learn the heavy equipment and truck industry and advance into parts, service, or sales roles. Key Responsibilities Yard & Shop Duties Keep yard, shop, and warehouse clean and organized Move trucks, equipment, and attachments around the yard Wash trucks and equipment Assist technicians with shop cleanup and organization Sweep floors, empty garbage, and maintain shop cleanliness Organize pallets, crates, and scrap materials Assist with loading and unloading trucks Deliveries & Runs Pick up and deliver parts and supplies Deliver equipment to customers when required Pick up tools, parts, and shop supplies from vendors Building & Property Maintenance Grass cutting and snow clearing (if required) Basic building maintenance and repairs Keep parking lot and entrances clean and safe Assist with shop organization projects General Support Assist all departments when needed Set up for events, open houses, and customer functions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid driver’s license (required), Class 3 an asset Forklift experience is an asset (training can be provided) Ability to operate trucks and equipment is an asset Ability to lift 50 lbs Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Positive attitude and team player Reliable and punctual Skills & Attributes Organized Mechanically inclined Willing to learn new skills Works safely Takes pride in keeping things clean and organized Helpful and cooperative Self-motivated Opportunities for Advancement This position can lead to careers in: Parts Technician Service Technician Apprentice Equipment Sales Warehouse / Inventory Coordinator Yard Supervisor What we offer: We offer a competitive compensation package including medical/dental benefits, team atmosphere, management support and ongoing training, as well as opportunities for career development and advancement.
