Job: Director – Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation (Food, Multiple DCs, Transportation, Warehousing Food MUST) Location: Vancouver - Richmond- Delta, BC area Base Salary: 150K -185K , bonus , Benefits Full Time Permanent 5 days a week on Site Bilingual English Mandarin is an asset 30% travel -Canada & US (candidates must be passport holders of such countries that enable travel to the US without visa, due to the complexity and urgency of the role) Distribution & Logistics Network Optimization Multiple Distribution Centers Operations Management DC KPI Management, Productivity, Capacity Optimization Inventory Management Transportation Budget 3rd party carrier management , in house fleet Experienced in setting up new Warehouses / Distribution Centers (Capital Projects, Floor Layout, Capacity Planning, System Upgrades WMS SAP) Temperature Controlled HACCP Food GMP (preferred) Our client is a well-established leader in the food industry, temperature-controlled Food / CPG industry and have an existing job open for Director – Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation – food distribution. The role is responsible for overseeing Distribution Centers, Warehousing, Transportation & Inventory and be fully responsible for Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement, writing revising SOPs, Best Practices, Process Flow and system upgrades (System Automation, WMS / SAP and similar) This requires 5 days on site and will involve 30% travel within Canada and to the US, as part of future expansion. This is a hands-on yet strategic role, will lead Warehousing, Operations, Logistics & Transportation through aa period of transition and expansion. English & Mandarin / Cantonese highly preferred. Food Grade Distribution experience is highly preferred. Director – Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation – food distribution will be fully responsible for overseeing DC operations of new and existing food grade DCs, lead capital projects, oversee contractors for the infrastructure and high speed material handling equipment, engage and manage performance of 3rd party freight carriers, lead automation / system upgrade projects and lead the daily replenishment and order fulfilment You will provide leadership to the shipping receiving, pick pack, drivers local city dispatch in very high-volume replenishment module for short shelf like product -produce and similar. Director – Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation – food distribution will have minimum 8-10 years in the food industry (MUST have) ideally leading through phases of system upgrades and expansions, lead and implement Continuous Improvement projects in Warehousing and Distribution (floor mapping, process mapping capacity planning); Leadership of daily operations coaching mentoring / performance management is a MUST. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, courses in P. Log, CITT, CCLP or similar with excellent English communication skills, Cantonese/ Mandarin highly preferred. This requires travel of up to 30% within US and Canada (4-5 nights at a stretch). GMP HACCP and Health Canada compliance transportation spends, budgets, RFP RFQ, Mandarin/ Cantonese Food experience all help.
