Job Title: Group Reporting Lead Location: Remote in Canada Duration: Long-term contract Rate: CAD90-CAD95/hr Position Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP Group Reporting Lead to provide Application Management Services (AMS) and post-go-live support for an enterprise SAP Group Reporting solution within a public sector environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of SAP Group Reporting processes by managing production support activities, troubleshooting issues, supporting financial close cycles, and coordinating enhancements across business and technical teams. This role requires deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting, Financial Consolidation, Close Processes, and AMS Support, along with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing AMS and production support for SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting applications and related finance processes. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, service requests, and system issues within agreed service levels. Perform root-cause analysis of Group Reporting, consolidation, and financial reporting issues and implement sustainable solutions. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring timely resolution of system and process-related issues. Maintain and support Group Reporting configurations, including consolidation units, group structures, financial statement items, and reporting rules. Coordinate and execute system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for fixes, patches, enhancements, and support packs. Work closely with Finance, Business, Functional, and Technical teams to address reporting and consolidation requirements. Support data reconciliation, validation, and reporting accuracy across consolidation processes. Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and service improvements. Document production support activities, issue resolutions, configuration changes, and operational procedures. Collaborate with SAP Basis, Security, Integration, and Development teams to resolve cross-functional issues. Participate in release planning, change management, deployment activities, and production cutovers. Ensure support processes comply with governance, audit, and financial reporting requirements. Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to support teams and business users on SAP Group Reporting capabilities and processes. Required Qualifications 8+ years of SAP Finance experience with at least 3+ years supporting SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions. Strong experience in Financial Consolidation, Group Reporting, Financial Close, and Corporate Reporting processes. Hands-on experience providing AMS, production support, incident management, and enhancement support. Deep understanding of SAP Group Reporting configuration and consolidation functionality. Experience troubleshooting consolidation, elimination, currency translation, ownership, and reporting issues. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and consolidated financial reporting. Experience with service management processes including incident, problem, change, and release management. Ability to perform root-cause analysis and recommend long-term corrective actions. Experience coordinating testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression, and production validation. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting public sector or government organizations. SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and Group Reporting implementation experience. Experience with SAP BPC, SAP SEM-BCS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or related reporting solutions. Knowledge of SAP transport management and release deployment processes. Familiarity with ITIL-based support practices and AMS delivery models. SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance, Group Reporting, or related areas.
