Hays has partnered with an established Canadian design studio specializing in institutional, intransit and residential & mixed used projects is looking for an Interior Designer to join their team in Edmonton. They are a highly collaborative firm comprising of architects, students, interior designers, technical, and support staff, who take pride in their consultative approach work. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team-orientated company with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects. *in office role Responsibilities Work across hospitality-focused projects (with occasional commercial/office work), contributing to both design and production deliverables at all stages of the project lifecycle Support the development of drawing packages from early concept design through to detailed construction documentation, including plans, elevations, details, and presentation materials Collaborate closely with internal team members to ensure design intent, accuracy, and quality are maintained throughout Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders, managing revisions, redlines, and project updates in a timely manner Take ownership of assigned tasks and project components, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced, high-output environment Contribute to a team culture centred on collaboration, accountability, and excellence Bring prior hospitality project experience or a strong interest in this sector, with a desire to build depth in this project typology Qualifications: 5+ years of interior design experience, with a strong understanding of local building codes and regulations, ideally within the Edmonton market Prior institutional, multifamily & mixed-use project experience Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program Strong technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environment In exchange for your hard work and commitment you will earn $60-90K (dependent on experience), extended benefits + RRSP & continuing education allowance.
