Job summary

Procurement Analyst Hybrid Contract until end of the year $35-45/hour Our client is a mining organization seeking a Procurement Analyst to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of operational and capital expenditure categories. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for supporting sourcing initiatives, conducting market and spend analysis, assisting with RFP and RFQ processes, evaluating supplier proposals, and contributing to contract negotiations. The role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement support and the delivery of cost-effective, value-driven solutions. Categories may include MRO, maintenance services, mobile and fixed plant equipment, haulage and site services, fuels, explosives, logistics, aggregates, and capital projects. The successful candidate will help manage supplier relationships, monitor contract performance, track procurement metrics, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing experience, preferably within mining, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environments. Experience supporting procurement activities for operational and capital projects, analysing spend data, preparing sourcing documentation, and working with cross-functional stakeholders is highly desirable. The successful individual will be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong communication skills, proficiency with procurement systems and Excel, and the ability to develop effective supplier partnerships are essential.
