The team collaborates closely across Canada, the US, and India in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering modern data streaming and cloud-based solutions. Your New Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer - Kafka & Distributed Systems with strong Core Java skills, proven expertise in data streaming (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Flink), and hands-on delivery on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll design and build scalable, reliable, real-time data solutions and contribute to production support and incident resolution. Working hours start at 07:30–08:00 EST to support collaboration with global technology teams. What You'll Need to Succeed Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java-based services and applications. Design and implement event-driven architectures and real-time streaming pipelines. Build and operate Kafka-based streaming solutions, including cluster configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. Deliver on GCP using services such as Dataflow, BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Storage, and Terraform. Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues; participate in weekly platform support.
