About the position Haywood is currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join its Vancouver Finance Department on a full-time basis. Reporting to the CFO, the ideal candidate for this role will have prior work experience in financial analysis, preferably in the investment industry and a strong grasp of IT analytic tools like PowerBI for design, analysis, and publication of reports. Candidates must be able to demonstrate professionalism in their approach to the management of internal and external relationships and in the management of staff. Responsibilities include * Prepare quarterly financial review for senior management & the board of directors * Prepare monthly financial package for senior manager * Prepare annual forecast for the board of directors * Design and preparation of dashboards for senior management reporting * Ah hoc financial analysis and business process improvement initiatives as requested Education & Qualifications * Advanced excel spreadsheet capabilities to support financial analysis * Advanced PowerBI (or other business intelligence/data visualization tool) capabilities to help design effective and efficient periodic and ad hoc management reports * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Math or similar field of study * Professional accounting designation, CFA, MBA or equivalent Skills & Key Attributes * Strong ability to work with large bodies of data to identify trends and anomalies * Strong written & verbal communication skills required * Strong analytical skills required * Experience in brokerage industry a strong asset Why Haywood Haywood understands that its greatest strength lies in our skilled and dedicated employees.
