The successful candidate for this position will be required to assist the Credit Manager in all aspects of the credit department, including accounts receivable activities, conducting credit investigations and collecting delinquent accounts. You enjoy customer interaction and display excellent customer focus and follow-through as well as meticulous attention to details, deadlines, and results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Prepare daily deposits and apply payments (check, wires, and credit cards) to customer accounts addressing and following up on issues. · Research and investigate new accounts and prepare file for review by the Credit Manager. · Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate records and notes. · Update and maintain current credit information and credit group updates on existing accounts. · Reconciliation of customer payments, including both B2B and B2C. · Work closely with customer service to identify, prevent and mitigate process errors. · Create positive customer relationships, and where necessary, perform collection calls on past due/delinquent accounts. · Assist in reviewing customer account status in order to release orders. · Work with Credit Manager to maintain and develop formal written documents for all SAP processes · Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: · The successful candidate has a strong working knowledge of accounts receivable and credit collections best practices. · 2-5 years’ experience in credit collections, or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as analytical skills. · Bilingual (French) is a plus. · Working towards a Certified Credit Professional designation or accounting designation is a plus · Solid knowledge of SAP and MSOffice, in particular Microsoft Excel. · Candidate must be a team player, have excellent people skills, good judgement, as well as excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
