Location: Columbia, MO Pay: $1,824.30 / week Shift: Night Shift (Flexible Schedule) Job Type: Full-time, Travel Contract Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) team in Columbia, MO on the night shift. In this role, you will provide specialized care for medically complex, high-acuity adults requiring extended recovery. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, therapists, and case managers—to manage complex treatments, observe clinical trends, and drive safe discharge planning. Key Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and document vital signs, lab results, and response to therapies in the EHR. Administer medications, IV therapies, infusions, and specialized wound or ostomy care. Monitor telemetry and clinical trends; promptly escalate changes in condition to physicians. Manage complex patient needs, including care for ventilated or tracheostomy patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients/families on care plans and discharge goals. Qualifications & Requirements Education: ADN required; BSN preferred. Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Missouri (or active Compact/NLC license). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (Required). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Recommended). LTAC or Critical Care Certification (Preferred). Experience: Inpatient RN experience in acute or post-acute settings with medically complex patients. Strong clinical assessment, IV therapy, wound care, and telemetry skills. Experience with mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy care (Preferred). Proven ability to work night shifts with high flexibility. Work Environment Hospital-affiliated LTAC unit with a steady to high-acuity pace. Work alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary care team with electronic health record documentation.
