Role and Facility Information We are seeking up to three Family Physicians (full or part-time combination) to join our maternity department at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARHCC). We are a collegial group who work closely with our obstetricians, family physicians, pediatricians and midwifery groups. The Family Physicians working at the ARHCC are a collaborative and collegial team, providing mentorship and support for oncoming physicians. We deliver over 3,100 babies per year. We have a Level 2 nursery and 24 single LDRP rooms. Caesarean sections are performed in the main operating room. We are proud of our reputation of being an excellent hospital, delivering excellent personalized and compassionate maternity care. We are well supported by a local Diabetes Education Program and the Surrey MFM group. Our hospital is a sought-after site for family practice residents, and we work closely with them on call and in our offices. We have an urgent need in our community. There are opportunities to share existing office space within the community. Abbotsford is a community nestled in the Fraser Valley approximately 40 minutes east of Vancouver. It is surrounded by the coastal mountains and rivers providing a lush backdrop and access to many outdoor recreational activities. Abbotsford has an excellent school district and is currently a very affordable community to raise a family.
