Position #: 184105 Expected Start Date: TBD Union: SUN Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Ostomy & Wound Resource Team Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse C $45.830 to $56.140 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Enterostomal Therapy, the responsibilities of the Enterostomal Therapist Educator will include: provide in-patient education and care for Enterostomal Therapy Patients. This will include liaison with families, physicians, staff nurses, and community agencies. Provide individual outpatient treatment and education for patients and families. Promote continuing staff nurse involvement in patient education through effective communication, development of resource materials, and provision of inservice education. Participate in program administration (program development, planning, quality improvement and evaluation). Participate in research and evaluation projects.
