Working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RN conducts assessments, develops and implements care plans, provides health education, and supports clients across diverse social, economic, cultural, and age groups. The RN practices in accordance with the standards of the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS), the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training * Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) Competencies * Problem solving skills * Time management skills * Organizational skills * Decision making skills * Critical thinking skills * Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to conduct assessments/prioritize client needs/develop treatment plans * Makes independent clinical judgment based on evidence based best practice * Knowledge in LEAN management system * Knowledge of CRNS standards for nursing practice * Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access). * Knowledge in population and public health concepts * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Working knowledge in health promotion * Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info. * Knowledge in Infection Prevention and Control standards * Ability to coach, mentor and develop others * Sensitive and understanding of diverse cultural aspects of population served * Demonstrated clinical competency * Ability to balance the needs and interests of diverse group * Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development * Effective interpersonal relationship skills * Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Other Information * High level of accuracy required in health assessment/nursing diagnosis/treatment * Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) * High level of accuracy is required in handling specialized equipment * Nursing experience in Chronic Disease Management is desired. * Practices with Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics * Supports the mission/philosophy/objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
