Job summary

Position Purpose Prepare Tooling designs for the Rolling Mills and Assembly departments and Support Manufacturing with Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement Essential Functions Prepare tooling designs as required for the New Product Schedule. Incorporate quick change features as appropriate. Produce detail tooling drawings. Meet deadlines as specified. Assist with the manufacture of tooling as appropriate Supervise first use to ensure appropriate shapes, installation and efficient use Coordinate and ensure acceptable rework if necessary Design and develop efficient tooling for the Rolling Mills and Production Assembly Incorporate standardization and quick-change methods whenever appropriate Document and catalogue all tooling lists for set-up and control purposes. Maintain drawings current Education and Training Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technologist Degree (or equivalent) 5 years Tooling Design Experience Minimum Qualifications Problem Solving and Project Management experience Hands-on shop floor experience Working knowledge of APQP and IATF requirements Demonstrated working knowledge in MasterCam

Requirements
