About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced CPA-designated accounting leader to oversee the Canadian accounting function, including financial reporting, controls, compliance, and transactional finance. This role will lead a high-performing team, strengthen governance and reporting practices, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with business leaders to support growth and strategic decision-making. You will be a highly self-motivated individual who contributes to the team's ability to meet its financial commitments, while maintaining robust stewardship of control and reporting. Availability This is a hybrid role, with one to two days in office, to facilitate collaboration and team building. Our office is located across from Guildford Mall in Surrey, BC. What You'll Do Accounting Leadership & Reporting Oversee the full Canadian accounting function, including direct line management of a small team of accountants and transactional staff. Deliver timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting; evolve financial reporting to meet the needs of the business. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and KPIs; continuously enhance reporting capabilities. Compliance, Controls & Governance Responsible for financial compliance and regulatory matters, with particular focus on quarterly SOX reporting and internal controls. Ensure all reporting and accounting is compliant with relevant local and US GAAP policies, collaborating with key stakeholders including US corporate teams. Responsible for compliance and regulatory matters, including quarterly reporting, SOX, and internal controls. Oversee the annual statutory audit and manage relationships with external auditors. Responsible for all tax compliance, reporting, audits, and transfer pricing studies, working with company auditors and the internal Tax team. Treasury & Working Capital Management Protect the credit position of the company, ensuring the debtor ledger is under control and creditors are paid in a timely manner. Transformation & Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement and transformation projects focused on financial reporting, automation of internal controls, and company-wide initiatives. Lead finance transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging knowledge and experience from other areas of the business. People Leadership Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, motivating and inspiring them to achieve and exceed targets and KPIs. Lead, inspire, and create a high-achieving finance team through ongoing coaching, development, and transformation. Coach team members in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous development. Ensure all team members have clear, up-to-date Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and receive regular performance reviews and meaningful 1:1 conversations to support growth, engagement, and accountability. Maintain a trusting and collaborative environment that enables the team to thrive. Lead recruitment efforts for the team, identifying and hiring top talent. What you'll be working on Managing the Canadian accounting function, including financial control, reporting, and transactional finance. Driving transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives. Strengthening compliance, internal controls, and SOX reporting processes. Leading and developing a high-performing finance team. What You'll Bring with You 5+ years of post-designation (CPA) experience. Experience in the SaaS and/or technology sector. Proven record of leading, transforming, and building accounting teams. Experience communicating, influencing, and presenting at a senior leadership level. Experience working within a highly regulated framework or globally listed organization (US GAAP, SOX, IFRS, local GAAP). Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, or NetSuite is preferred. Compensation & Benefits The posted range for this position is between $120,000 CAD – $135,000 CAD, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient and experienced in the role. Requirements

Requires a CPA designation and at least five years of post-designation experience, experience in SaaS or technology, and a record of leading and transforming accounting teams. Candidates should have senior-level communication experience and familiarity with regulated or globally listed organizations and frameworks such as US GAAP, SOX, IFRS, or local GAAP; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, or NetSuite is preferred.
