Position Details Pay: $34-$42 / hr Job Type: Full-Time In-Office Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Prepare permit and construction drawings that comply with applicable codes, by-laws, regulations, and best practices. Develop conceptual designs using Revit and Enscape to provide clients with a clear project overview. Develop detailed building sections, wall assemblies, roof assemblies, foundation details, and construction details. Prepare and coordinate drawings for planning and building permit applications. Review drawings for constructability, coordination, accuracy, and completeness. Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure alignment with project goals. Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders. Participate in client design meetings. Qualifications BCIN Certification (Small Buildings or Large Buildings) or AATO Certification. Diploma or Degree in Architectural Construction Technology. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Revit. Strong ability to interpret and apply the Ontario Building Code in conjunction with building science principles, construction assemblies, and real-world construction practices. Familiarity with municipal by-laws, conservation authorities, and other governing authorities. Experience preparing and submitting drawings for site plan applications and building permit applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of Ontario construction methods and practices in residential, agricultural, and commercial projects. Bonus Skills Experience with timber-frame construction. Requirements
