Job summary
Overview We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python. This role focuses on platform engineering, system design, and building secure, high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services using Python. Design and build RESTful APIs and integrations. Contribute to scalable platform and system architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend solutions. Optimize application performance, security, and reliability. Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices. 5–10+ years of backend development experience. Strong Python development skills. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and OpenAPI. Solid understanding of system design and distributed applications. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services or fintech. Knowledge of microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with security and high-availability systems.
