HTG is hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer for an opportunity with one of our technology clients. The engineer will join a product-focused team working on initiatives designed to improve product fit and finish, usability, information architecture, menus, navigation, workflows, and overall user experience across enterprise software products. The role has a strong front-end focus, with React as a key technology, while also providing opportunities to contribute across the full application stack. Experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, or Go is valuable for engineers who can work across front-end and backend services. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React. Build reusable, scalable, accessible, and maintainable UI components. Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces for complex enterprise applications. Improve product experiences, workflows, menus, navigation, and information architecture. Contribute to initiatives focused on product quality, usability, performance, and overall user experience. Translate product and UX requirements into scalable technical solutions. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, UX professionals, and engineering teams. Integrate front-end applications with APIs and backend services. Contribute to full-stack development and end-to-end product improvements. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application functionality and performance. Work with backend technologies and services where required. Participate in code reviews, testing, technical discussions, and Agile development practices. Contribute to improvements in front-end architecture, application quality, and development practices. Required Qualifications Strong professional experience in front-end software development. Strong hands-on experience with React. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3. Experience building and maintaining production-quality web applications. Experience working with REST APIs and backend services. Strong understanding of modern front-end development practices and web application architecture. Experience building reusable and maintainable UI components. Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex front-end and application issues. Strong understanding of responsive web development. Ability to collaborate effectively with product, UX/design, and engineering teams. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Technical Environment Experience with several of the following technologies and concepts is valuable: Front End: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Backend: Ruby on Rails, Python, Go, and/or similar backend technologies Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, React, and modern web application frameworks APIs & Integration: REST APIs, JSON, service-to-service integrations Architecture: Full-stack applications, microservices, distributed services UI Development: Reusable components, design systems, responsive design Testing: Unit testing, integration testing, automated testing Performance: Web performance, rendering optimization, application performance Accessibility: Web accessibility and accessible UI development Development Tools: Git, npm/yarn, and comparable development tooling Build & Delivery: CI/CD and modern software development workflows Preferred Qualifications Experience developing enterprise-scale web applications. Strong experience with React-based applications. Experience with TypeScript. Experience with Ruby on Rails or another modern backend framework. Experience with Python and/or Go. Experience contributing across the full application stack. Experience working with microservices or distributed application environments. Experience working with design systems or reusable component libraries. Experience with automated testing. Experience improving application and web performance. Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices. Experience working with complex navigation, information architecture, and user workflows.
