Role Description The Retail Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Smiths Falls ON, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cannabis retail store. This includes supervising and scheduling staff, ensuring excellent customer service, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment. The manager will implement and uphold store policies, support sales targets, and manage cash handling procedures and loss prevention measures. The role also involves coaching team members, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring the store meets all regulatory and company standards. Collaboration with leadership on local marketing initiatives and reporting on store performance is also part of day-to-day responsibilities. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Communication abilities. Solid operational expertise in Store Management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and inventory oversight. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, cash handling, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Previous experience in retail management; cannabis retail experience or regulatory knowledge (e.g., local licensing rules) is an asset. Ability to lead, coach, and motivate diverse teams, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Comfort with point-of-sale systems, basic reporting, and store-level performance metrics. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
