TEACHER – Our Lady of the Assumption School This position is open to all internal and external candidates. Prior to employment, successful applicants must provide supporting documents as outlined on our New Employees page. We are looking to hire a temporary full time teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence as soon as possible and terminate February 26, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will teach homeroom Grade 3, supporting student learning through collaborative and team-teaching practices. Responsibilities include working closely with a diverse group of students, while implementing the grade three Alberta curriculum. This position is covered by the ATA collective agreement. Our Lady of the Assumption School is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school. The successful candidate will support learning through the Alberta curriculum, Catholic education, and the IB PYP framework, including inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, student agency, approaches to learning, and meaningful connections across subject areas. The Individual You are a strong advocate for youth and their success in learning. You demonstrate by interest, lifestyle, and growth, involvement within a Christ-centered working environment. Your participation within the Catholic faith is considered to be an asset. We are looking for a dynamic educator who believes in supporting positive behaviors through effective classroom management, has a strong sense of inclusion, and is willing to build strong connections with parents, fellow colleagues and students. The successful candidate will be open to working in an IB PYP school environment, where teachers collaborate, encourage curiosity, and help students take an active role in their learning. Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme or inquiry-based learning is considered an asset; a willingness to learn, reflect, and grow is essential.
