The ideal candidate drives holds a current CPI blue card AND a Broad Sector Check (different from VSC) Scheduling is flexible, potential for lots of hours and open availability is an asset. The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan * Supporting client with assigned physiotherapy exercises daily if required * Providing medication support and management * Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support * Maintaining open communication with client and nurses * Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates * Responding to all emergency situations * All other duties, as assigned Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to: * PSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification is preferred* * PSW experience of over 2 years is *required** * Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license * Valid CPR/First Aid certification * Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months * Broad Sector Check within last 4 months * CPI BLUE CARD * 2 Satisfactory professional references * Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions * Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters Please submit the appropriate documents for review.
