Provide personal support and care to clients within a home setting. Ensure the well-being and safety of individuals requiring home health care services.
Home is so much more than we think it is. It’s where we make our best memories, feel safe, comfortable and loved. It’s where we want to live out our lives. Recently a Home Instead® study found an overwhelming majority of older adults (86 percent) want to continue living at home for as long as possible. Yet, for their children balancing a family, work and the responsibility of caring for parents may mean you can't always be with them, but we can. Home Instead® is your 24-hour support and resources for family caregivers and aging adults. For the past 15 years our Mission has been to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families in Winnipeg by providing customized, person-centered care to every person we serve. Our services range from companionship and personalized care (bathing, dressing, mobility and more) to Alzheimer's care, and Nurse Directed Care for many chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, Heart Disease, Parkinson's, and cancer. Our commitment to being your In-home Service of Choice goes beyond caring for your loved one into caring for our community through our Social programs. Working with community partners and donors, each year our Be a Santa to a Senior program delivers thousands of gifts to isolated or financially marginalized seniors in our community. We are Sponsors for both the IG Wealth Management Alzheimer's Walk and the ALS Society Walk to End ALS. Recently we teamed up with the Cancer Society of MB to be a sponsor the "Run for the Cure". The Home Instead® Network has also partnered with HFC® (formerly known as Hilarity for Charity) to award home care grants to cover the cost of in-home care by a Home Instead® Care Professional who has received specialized training in Alzheimer care. We offer a free in-home consultation to identify needs and to develop a Care Plan that is both personal and unique to your loved one.
