*Overview* Join our dynamic Team at the Homewood Suites by Hilton North Bay as the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and lead the charge in maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization across the Hotel. This vital role combines hands-on cleaning expertise with leadership skills to ensure a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors alike. You will oversee daily housekeeping operations, manage the Housekeeping Team and uphold high standards of cleanliness that reflect our commitment to excellence. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for everyone who enters the hotel. *Duties* * Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning schedules and high-quality service. * Perform routine cleaning tasks using hand tools, power tools, and commercial cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness standards. * Conduct facilities maintenance by identifying repair needs, performing light repairs, or coordinating with maintenance teams for more complex issues. * Oversee custodial activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, and trash removal to keep all areas spotless. * Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment. * Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service best practices. * Communicate effectively with staff, management, and external vendors to address maintenance needs or service requests promptly. *Qualifications* * Proven custodial or housekeeping experience in a commercial or institutional setting, preferably within Hilton. * Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and commercial cleaning techniques. * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. * Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform manual cleaning duties for extended periods. * Exceptional communication skills to lead teams and interact professionally with colleagues and visitors. * Customer service mindset with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for all guests and staff.
