As a Maintenance Mechanic - Painter here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to surfaces to protect and enhance the appearance of our products and facilities. You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Woodstock, Ontario location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the quality and durability of Honeywell’s products by ensuring a high standard of surface preparation and finishing, contributing to the overall excellence and customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for repairing wall damage, painting requirements, and ceiling tile replacement * Perform painting, drywall and wall repairs, ceiling tile replacement, surface restoration, and other assigned maintenance tasks. * Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality. * Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns according to specifications and safety standards. * Inspect finished surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed to meet quality requirements. * Responsible for completing additional building maintenance tasks including general maintenance and preventative maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE * 5 or more years of experience in painting and finishing techniques in a healthcare, industrial, or manufacturing environment. * 5 or more years of experience with surface preparation methods and paint application tools including spray guns and brushes. * Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and safety data sheets to ensure compliance and quality. * Ability to obtain Government Security Clearances.
