The Warehouse Manager acts as a member of the Senior Management Team responsible for leading and overseeing our Warehouse and Cataloguing & Processing (C&P) departments. The Warehouse Manager will be a motivational leader who oversees the daily activities and general workflow of the warehouse and C&P operations. We are looking for the Warehouse Manager to implement continuous improvement initiatives to create efficiencies that will maximize sales, increase our customer satisfaction and contribute to our continued growth. The Warehouse Manager creates both a productive and positive workplace environment by providing coaching and leadership to our supervisors as well as ensuring that all warehouse and C&P employees have what they need to thrive in their role. The key duties and responsibilities you will perform: Leads and supervises the warehouse and C&P teams including performance management and workforce planning. Provides senior level managerial coaching, support and guidance to supervisors. Creates and maintains a motivational environment within the warehouse and C&P departments to encourage and develop a high performing team. Facilitates weekly warehouse and C&P team meetings and maintains strong team morale. Oversees the daily activities and general workflow of warehouse operations, and how they connect with our C&P department. Implements new workflows and processes designed to make the team more efficient and match the Company’s growth trajectory. Provides general oversight for the Company’s shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions to ensure they meet Company standards. Monitors daily and monthly sales and ensures all targets are achieved. Runs end-of-day KPIs reports to track departmental performance. Ensures effective employee training is delivered to new and existing employees to ensure team members are productive, fully utilized, and are working safely. Maintains responsibility for overall health and safety in the warehouse and C&P departments. Acts as a key point of senior management contact with all external parties. Assists the senior management team with special projects, as needed. The knowledge, qualifications and skills we are looking for: A minimum of 8-10 years of overall experience in a similar warehouse environment with at least 2 years of experience in a direct managerial role, leading people and managing all aspects of warehouse operations. Experience in 5S/Lean Six Sigma or equivalent would be an asset. Post-secondary degree/diploma in Warehouse and Distribution Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field, would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal (including conflict resolution) and communication (verbal & written) skills. Demonstrated experience with people management: with a track record of balancing employee satisfaction and motivation while upholding Company standards fairly and consistently. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to ensure all warehouse and C&P deliverables are of high quality and free of errors. Continuous improvement mindset and able to identify and implement efficiencies within workflow processes. Demonstrates an interest in technology, how it can improve warehouse operations, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technology. Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and initiative to assist in other areas when requested or required.
