Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Department Clerk. About the team: The Smart Grid Technology Lab focuses on research in real-time simulation technologies, microgrid energy management, control systems, and other smart grid technologies. We apply cutting-edge technologies to the digital power industry. The lab has developed into a research organization with significant achievements and a strong impact in the industry. About the job: Provide direct administrative and office management support to director and managers of the department as directed. Prepare travel schedules, book travel arrangements, and make reservations for senior management and occasionally members of their staff. Coordinate logistics of team programs including meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events (including awards, celebrations and social events). Take minutes, track meeting resolutions and manage basic systems and documents for procurement projects. Refer and/or redirect calls, e-mails, or visitors as required. Complete expense reports, pay invoices, and other related duties. Present a positive and professional image of the office to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other persons. Provide some personal assistant duties as required (lunches, errands). Job requirements About the ideal candidate: Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, or relevant discipline. Strong knowledge of office procedures and practices. Fast learner and keen attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Resourceful and flexible, desire to contribute to a team environment. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills and ability to schedule duties/projects (multi-task).
