MID-RANGE MINE ENGINEER Location: Lalor Mine, Snow Lake, MB Schedule: 14 Days On / 14 Days Off (11.5-hour days) Salary: $112,302 – $124,780 / year + Profit Sharing THE OPPORTUNITY Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Mine Engineer for a Mid-Range Planning/Scheduling role at Lalor Mine located in Snow Lake, MB. At Lalor Mine, we are a key low-cost producer of gold, zinc, copper, and silver. The mine utilizes advanced mechanized drilling and blasting techniques, employing cut and fill as well as longhole open-stoping mining methods. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Mid-Range Mine Engineer, you will provide engineering planning and technical leadership for underground mine development and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Mine Development Planning: Responsible for Mid-Range mine development planning (1–3 years) and reviewing infrastructure to support mining fronts which are consistent with the established standards for the Mine. Optimization & Risk Mitigation: Liaise with operations and technical services personnel to evaluate and create best practice plans for mining fronts. Enhance mineability through innovative designs, minimize dilution, identify plan risks, and establish mitigations. Scheduling: Develop & maintain 3-month rolling schedules which support the business goals within operational constraints. Maintain schedules for the current end-of-year plan in Deswik.Sched and create new 2-year budgetary schedules from the Life of Mine (LOM) plan. Collaboration: Liaise with Technical and Operational teams to develop robust and compliant mine designs and schedules which support the long-range plan. Liaise with the LOM planning team to support designs and Long-Range infrastructure planning. Underground Inspections: Travel underground regularly to validate conditions and create viable plans. QUALIFICATIONS Education: University Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering. Registration: P.Eng designation with the ability to transfer to Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM). Experience: 5+ years of experience in underground longhole stoping mines. Technical Skills: Proficiency with the Deswik Suite (CAD, Sched). Attributes: Collaborative communicator who builds trust and strong working relationships across cross-functional teams. WHY JOIN HUDBAY? Requirements

Candidates must hold a university degree in Mining or Geological Engineering and possess at least 5 years of experience in underground longhole stoping mines. A P.Eng designation with the ability to transfer to Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is required, along with proficiency in the Deswik software suite.
