Title: Technology Operations Manager Reporting to: Director of Operations Our Client Our client is a family-owned Saskatchewan company operating across construction, cabinetry, agricultural projects, and retail locations. Its IT Department also supports partnered companies, helping a diverse group of teams and businesses stay connected and productive. The organization values relationships, community, and quality work. The Opportunity This is a growth-driven leadership opportunity for a knowledgeable, people-focused IT professional to lead a team of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Technicians while remaining actively involved in day-to-day technical operations. The successful candidate will lead by example, develop the team, manage priorities and escalations, and provide strong internal customer service. The role is currently fully in-office, with flexibility around working hours, and includes shared on-call and some after-hours work. Key Responsibilities As the Technology Operations Manager, you will work collaboratively and be responsible for: 1. Team Leadership & Service Delivery Lead, coach, and develop Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 IT Technicians. Coordinate daily IT operations, workload priorities, service requests, and escalation paths. Lead by example by staying hands-on while delegating effectively across the team. Provide strong customer service to employees and communicate technical information clearly. 2. Technical Operations & Support Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and major service interruptions. Participate in troubleshooting, maintenance, deployments, upgrades, and day-to-day support. Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, servers, networks, cybersecurity systems, endpoints, mobile devices, and business applications. Oversee onboarding and offboarding, access permissions, equipment deployment, licensing, and IT asset management. 3. Systems, Risk & Continuous Improvement Maintain clear IT documentation, standards, procedures, and system records. Support backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology risk management. Work with leadership and department managers to improve reliability, service delivery, and the employee technology experience. Bring an interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and help guide how new technology can support the business. 4. Vendors, Planning & Business Support Manage technology vendors, service providers, purchasing, and equipment lifecycle planning. Work with a third-party MSP for high-level technical support and future technology planning as needed. Support multiple businesses and locations, with travel between company and partnered locations as required. Participate in the shared IT on-call rotation and support after-hours upgrades, maintenance, deployments, troubleshooting, and urgent incidents when required. Qualifications As the Technology Operations Manager, you will possess the following qualities: The Essentials (Hard Skills): 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, technical support, infrastructure, or systems administration is ideal. Previous leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or team coordination experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking, servers, cybersecurity, and endpoint management. Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and managing escalations. Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between locations; relevant post-secondary education and industry certifications are considered assets. Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively with employees across the business. Approachable, dependable, and organized, with strong communication and prioritization skills. What you’ll do

Requirements

The role ideally requires at least five years of progressive IT, technical support, infrastructure, or systems administration experience, along with leadership or team coordination experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, servers, cybersecurity, and endpoint management, as well as strong communication, customer service, and prioritization skills; a valid driver’s licence is required, while post-secondary education and certifications are assets.
