Network Infrastructure Lead Halifax (Hybrid-2 days in office) Our client a dynamic Information Technology services company that partners with leading global organizations to deliver innovative, high-quality IT solutions is looking for a Network Infrastructure Lead, to provide technical ownership and leadership across their global network environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for the design, engineering, security, availability, performance, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure. The Lead will act as the senior technical escalation point for complex network issues while leading and developing the network engineering team. Responsibilities Own the technical strategy, standards, architecture, and roadmap for network infrastructure. Provide senior technical leadership and escalation support for complex incidents and problems. Lead and develop a team of network engineers through coaching, mentoring, 1:1s, performance management, and development planning. Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve enterprise network infrastructure. Provide technical ownership across: Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Wireless and Catalyst Center, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Nexus, vPC, EVPN-VXLAN and Nexus Dashboard, Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, F5 Load Balancing, Network Monitoring, Observability and Security. Drive network automation using technologies such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, and vendor-native automation. Ensure network infrastructure is secure, resilient, highly available, monitored, and compliant with corporate standards. Lead root-cause analysis, problem management, major incident technical support, and permanent remediation. Review network designs, changes, projects, and implementation plans. Manage network capacity, lifecycle planning, technical debt, upgrades, and technology roadmaps. Maintain network standards, architecture documentation, technical procedures, and operational runbooks. Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Solutions, Monitoring & Observability, and Service Management teams. Qualifications Enterprise Cisco routing and switching, including Catalyst and IOS/IOS-XE. Cisco Wireless, Catalyst Center, and SD-WAN. Cisco Nexus, vPC, EVPN-VXLAN, and data centre networking. Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama. F5 BIG-IP / load balancing. Network security, hardening, monitoring, and high availability. Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Network automation and infrastructure engineering. Incident, Problem, Change, and lifecycle management. Leading, mentoring, and developing network engineering teams.
