Most of the work will be with air-powered hand tools, attached to various metal working materials (stones and abrasives). Polishers must be able to then measure the completed parts using manual metrology and/or CMMs, to qualify the sizes on their parts in addition to visually inspecting alternative defects. In some polishing areas, there may also be a requirement to edit and operate CNC surfacing equipment such as CNC Micro-Blast, Honing machines, laser engravers, CNC sanding machines, etc. Qualifications High School/GED diploma or certified apprenticeship program 1-2 years relevant work experience considered an asset Ability to read and understand GD&T symbols, blueprint and CAD drawings considered an asset Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment Experience/knowledge with hand tools and power tools Flexible with rotating shift work Good communication skills Experience with basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel Lean experience: Flow/Pull, 5S or Continuous Improvement Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Vacancy: Replacement Pay Range: $23 - $26 Husky TechnologiesTM offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement. Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or certified apprenticeship with a preference for 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. Candidates must be flexible with rotating shifts and possess the ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols.
