Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Allison Transmission Rebuilder to diagnose, disassemble, rebuild, repair, and test Allison automatic transmissions used in commercial and heavy-duty vehicles. Responsibilities Diagnose Allison transmission problems and determine required repairs. Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and reassemble automatic transmissions. Inspect gears, clutches, bearings, seals, valve bodies, torque converters, and related components. Replace worn or damaged transmission components. Perform accurate measurements using appropriate precision tools. Follow manufacturer specifications and rebuild procedures. Test completed transmissions to ensure proper operation and quality. Maintain accurate repair and service records. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Follow all shop and workplace safety procedures. Requirements 3+ years of transmission rebuilding experience preferred. Strong hands-on experience with Allison automatic transmissions. Experience with commercial trucks, buses, or other heavy-duty vehicles. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read technical manuals, specifications, and diagrams. Proficient with hand, power, and precision measuring tools. Knowledge of hydraulic and electronic transmission systems. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
