Check out the IAMGOLD Blog Read about our Côté Gold About The Role We’re actively searching for a Refiner based at our Côté Gold mine site. This role focuses on safe and reliable operation of the refinery. In this role you will work collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule, specifically gold shipments and undertake specific projects to improve production refinery performance. Responsibilities: Execute safe recovery of gold cathodes, smelt bullion, and plan shipments with metallurgy and security teams. Troubleshoot circuits and minimize reagent usage to maximize production efficiency while reducing overall operational costs. Identify hazards, validate Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) sheets, and develop workplace Job Hazard Analyses (JHA). Track chemical consumable stock levels and collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule equipment upkeep. Maintain complete shift logs and author technical reports regarding proposed refinery process improvements. Evaluate continuous improvement initiatives using five dimensions: throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost. Coordinate with shift teams, multi-disciplinary groups, vendors, consultants, and contractors to achieve site deliverables. Share specialized refining expertise to onboard, train, and support new team members on site. Job Qualifications Key Skills & Knowledge Grade 12 or equivalent is required. Technical diploma in mineral processing, metallurgy or other related fields is considered an asset. Relevant Experience A minimum of 3 years of related work experience in gold refining and/ or mineral processing. Skills & Strengths, We Value Proficiency in computer applications. Requirements
