IBEW Local Union 424

IBEW Local Union 424 is Alberta’s premier electrical union, representing over 6,000 skilled electricians and apprentices across the province. Since 1928, we have championed fair wages, safe workplaces, and world-class training through our Electrical Industry Training Centre. Our members power Alberta’s homes and industry—from residential wiring to major infrastructure projects. As part of the international IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), we uphold rigorous safety standards and the IBEW Code of Excellence. Whether you’re an apprentice, journeyman, or electrical contractor, Local 424 connects you to a network of support, from collective bargaining to community outreach. Visit our website to join Local 424 or learn about apprenticeship opportunities, and follow us for updates on labour news, union events, and member achievements.
