Harvesting Labourer Osprey Organics – Woodstock 2899 Cromarty Drive, Putnam, ON, N0L 2B0 Osprey Organics is currently hiring Harvesting Labourers (NOC 85101 – Harvesting Labourers) to support daily operations on our organic farm. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Successful candidates will contribute to sustainable farming practices and high-quality organic crop production. Position Details: Wage: $22.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts as required Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 4 Work Location: On site (no remote work option) Key Responsibilities: Harvest crops and examine produce for quality and market readiness Cultivate crops, including work on vertical farming systems Monitor water saturation, light, and temperature as instructed Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce Clean greenhouses and maintain general farm cleanliness Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Detect crop health issues and report concerns Organize planting, cultivating, and harvesting activities Maintain basic daily progress reports Perform general farm duties as required Qualifications: No formal education required 2-3 years of previous harvesting mushrooms is required Ability to communicate in English Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with equipment such as forklifts, loaders, skid steers, farm trucks, and hand tools is an asset Work Environment & Conditions: This role is based on a rural organic farm and involves exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, moisture, odours, and confined spaces. Work is physically demanding and includes repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods in all weather conditions.
