Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Finance team. This role is responsible for accounts payable, reconciliations, payment processing, job costing support, and general accounting administration to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Qualifications Education High School Diploma Experience 5+ years of experience in an accounting or accounting administration role. Skills Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Outlook. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Other Valid Class 5 Driver's License. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Construction experience considered an asset. Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs. Upload EFT payment batches through Scotiabank. Maintain vendor and accounts payable records. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Provide support to employees, vendors, and clients. Assist Project Managers with job costing and project expense verification. Support month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
