Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will develop detailed electrical design and drafting packages for substation and distribution projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, constructability, and on-time delivery. You will collaborate with engineers, project teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout all stages of project development. Qualifications Education Diploma in Engineering Design Technology, or Related certifications in AutoCAD or MicroStation. Experience 2-4 years of experience in an electrical engineering environment. Experience with substation and distribution projects. Proficiency using MicroStation and AutoCAD. Technical Skills Advanced MicroStation V8i experience; MicroStation CONNECT Edition is an asset. Ability to interpret client standards, specifications, codes, and regulations. Experience preparing engineering drawings from sketches and design information. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical drafting packages for substation and distribution projects. Develop drawings including: Single Line Diagrams Schematics and Logic Drawings Wiring Diagrams Site Plans Electrical Plans and Sections Grounding Plans and Details Conduit Plans and Details Create complete engineering design packages from concept through project completion. Review and reference client drawings, standards, and specifications. Ensure drawings meet project scope, budget, quality, and schedule requirements. Support the development of drafting standards, templates, procedures, and automation tools. Estimate drafting resource requirements and support project planning. Collaborate with engineers, project teams, clients, consultants, and approval authorities. Maintain excellent drafting quality and project delivery standards. Why Join Iconic?
