Job summary

Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is looking for a Senior French Content Editor to support digital marketing campaign teams. This role will coordinate translation activities, review and edit French content, and ensure high-quality, accurate, and culturally appropriate content across digital and public-facing channels. Contract: 6 Months Extension: Potential Hybrid: 1 day per week onsite; remote candidates outside the local area may be considered Location: Toronto, ON Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday Experience: 5–10 years Start: ASAP Key Responsibilities Coordinate translation requests with external translation agencies and vendors. Review, edit, and proofread English-to-French marketing content for digital platforms. Ensure French content meets organizational editorial standards, grammar, tone, consistency, and accuracy requirements. Apply French-Canadian linguistic and cultural nuances to digital and marketing content. Maintain and contribute to French editorial standards and terminology. Support content across websites, mobile applications, online banking, and other digital channels. Ensure content follows accessibility and SEO best practices. Manage multiple translation and editorial requests while meeting tight deadlines. Collaborate with marketing teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders in an Agile environment. Occasionally perform direct translation when required. Must-Have Skills 5–10 years of experience in editorial and translation roles within structured environments. Extensive experience as a French Content Editor, particularly with digital marketing or public-facing content. Native-level French and strong English proficiency. Degree in Translation or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of French-Canadian linguistic and cultural requirements. Experience coordinating translation projects and working with external translation agencies. Working knowledge of Trados Studio, MemoQ, and CAT tools. Knowledge of OQLF standards. Experience using terminology and language resources such as Termium, Le GDT, Antidote, and terminology databases. Digital marketing/content environment experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Nice to Have Digital platform experience. Banking/financial services experience. Strong experience with Trados and MemoQ. SEO and accessibility experience.
