Team Summary As an integral function within IGM’s Enterprise Operations Enablement Division, the Business Managed Technology Solutions (BMTS) team operates in close alignment with their clients’ divisional priorities, delivering agile, business-led technology solutions—including robotic process automation (RPA)—that enhance operational efficiency, client and employee experiences. By collaborating across business units and technology partners, BMTS bridges the gap between strategic objectives and practical execution, enabling scalable innovation and fostering continuous improvement across operations. Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Managed Technology Solutions, the Automation Manager will be responsible to lead and execute upon knowledge-based functions for business transformation initiatives leading to automation solutions. The Automation Manager will actively engage and collaborate with business partner subject matter experts and stakeholders to achieve IGM’s business mandates while delivering on key objectives related to information gathering, investigation, analysis, developing and overseeing automated solutions. Duties Include Lead end-to-end project management for automation initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring and closure Perform opportunity assessments and document current state manual processes Document future state design Code development (Robotic Process Automation), testing and implementation of the automated solution Analyzes data/information that will support decision making process Collaborates, communicates and provides updates to stakeholders/project managers/working groups/delivery teams, to deliver on client expectations throughout the project management cycle Reviews and validates post implementation business outcomes, as required, and identifies sound solutions for exceptions and/or defects Oversees automation solutions in production and supports client achievement of SLA targets Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams Qualifications 5 years or more experience in the Financial Services Industry; experience and/or exposure to front and back office servicing an asset Proven experience in project management Blue Prism, SQL, JAVA or Power Automate coding knowledge Demonstrated experience in managing client expectations, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; effective working group facilitation Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Ability to focus on detail while understanding and connecting to the big picture Excellent time management skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external business partners to meet the project mandate or key objectives Deep knowledge of the MS Office Suite and alternative communication/analytical tools Education University Degree, ideally Business or Technology related Coding certification is an asset The expected annual base salary range for this role is $69,500 - $100,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
