Job Title: Technical Support Engineer Location: Halifax Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday) Are you looking to start your career within technical support and develop your skills within a specialist technology environment? Our client is a growing technology solutions provider supporting businesses with workplace technology, collaboration tools and technical services. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT support, customer service, technology or a recent technical qualification who wants to develop their career within a fast paced and varied environment. You’ll support customers with technical queries, helping to diagnose issues, resolve problems and ensure external users receive an excellent service. You’ll also gain exposure to a wide range of workplace technologies, with full support and training provided to develop your technical knowledge. Key Responsibilities Provide first line technical support to customers through telephone, email and remote support tools. Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring problems are managed through to completion. Log, update and maintain accurate records of support cases. Communicate clearly with customers throughout the support process. Assist with system checks, preventative maintenance and technical improvements. Support senior members of the technical team with more complex issues. Maintain documentation and contribute ideas to improve service delivery. Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and external partners. Experience Required Strong problem solving ability and logical approach to troubleshooting. Confident communication skills with the ability to support customers professionally. Good organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable learning new technologies and systems. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Experience using ticketing or service management systems. Exposure to workplace technology, collaboration tools or hardware support. Technical qualifications or relevant training.
