Responsibilities: Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate and assemble materials and equipment Use multiple measuring devices such as scales, feeler gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers tee square, machinist square and tape measure to accurately and precisely perform work Mount electrical components include circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input/output devices and/or all other related switchgear electrical devices Layout and frame enclosures Drilling, tapping, punching, mounting and installing bus bar sections per drawings or instructions Perform metal corrections and touch-up painting as directed Install and/or modify various metallic or non-metallic items and components Comply with all safety, quality and work rules, guidelines and regulations As required (Training Provided) Qualified candidates must possess: High School Diploma 2 + years of experience in mechanical assembly using mechanical equipment Ability to interpret drawings, work independently Mechanical aptitude Ability to work quickly with your hands while maintaining accuracy and high quality Strong work ethic and motivation to learn Must be a team player Physical/Mental/Environmental: Physical Demands: Activities: Sitting – 5% Walking/Standing – 95% Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb. Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items. Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Environment: Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled.
