Job summary
Infosys is looking for an experienced Mainframe Project Manager to supervise design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise applications using Mainframe technologies. The role involves code reviews, hands‑on coding, technical leadership, customer interaction, and ensuring high‑quality project delivery. In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Maintenance and Development Life Cycle. Required Qualifications Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 7 years of Information Technology experience. Candidates authorized to work for any employer in Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Work closely with customers on requirements, issues, and status updates Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high quality products. At least 3 years of relevant experience in development in following Mainframe technologies: -COBOL, IMS DB-DC, DB2, VSAM, REXX, JCL. At least 2 years of experience in Agile with a good knowledge of all Agile ceremonies. Analyze and design the solution according to project specifications and estimation of size & efforts for the delivery. Should have in-depth knowledge of design issues and best practices In depth knowledge of CM/Release management tools/techniques At least 2 years of experience in Design and architecture of mainframe applications Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment Experience in Credit Card Loyalty Program would be an advantage Good analytical skills Strong Communication Skills Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.
