Here are the Job details for your review: Job Title: IT Project Manager Duration: 24 Months Location: Montreal, QC Job Description: The Banking IT Project Management team has as a core expertise to manage IT transformation projects across all Banking Business Lines. Project Managers will have strong functional & business knowledge, as well as an comprehensive understanding of Banking, Payments, & Cash Management. In detail The team members are responsible of the following activities: Project Management • Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives • Ensure that all projects follow Group Policies and Procedure – including proper Project Governance & Software Development Lifecycle • Identify and obtain the buy-in from the Primary Project Stakeholders and Sponsors • Leverage expertise and problem-solving skills to propose solutions during each phase of the project • Drive the delivery effort by maintaining project lists, organizing follow up meetings, creating and distributing meeting minutes • Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, efforts involved, & project status • Work closely with all functions - Front office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk etc. to ensure successful delivery of project objectives • Manage situations of conflict and constraints to ensure the success of the project • Provide project plans, status reports, track issues and risks, budget/actuals tracking, testing co-ordination, implementation plan preparation and oversight Candidates are measured on the following four performance drivers, which will dictate how individual impact is considered on the Americas platform: • Results and Impact o Able to influence peers and team o Demonstrates good judgement when making decisions of high complexity and impact o Exercise appropriate autonomy in the execution and delivery of work o Responsible for driving outcomes, which have meaningful effect on team or department • Leadership and Collaboration o Create trust with colleagues. o Acts in leadership capacity for assigned projects • Client, Customer and Stakeholder Focus o Able to build relationships with a mix of colleagues and clients o Interacts regularly with management and department leaders o Demonstrates the ability to influence stakeholders at the team level • Compliance Culture and Conduct o Takes full responsibility for personal actions and demonstrates courage in facing problems and conflicts o Perceived as a person of high moral character; upholds corporate values and displays high ethical standards Minimum Required Qualifications: • 10 years’ experience as Project Manager • Experience in Cash Management, SWIFT payments, & Banking • Consulting experience • Expertise in functional & operational knowledge of Global Banking activities • Deep knowledge of & experience executing all project management concepts • Project planning, documentation experience, & stakeholder management • Excellent level of knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The candidate : • Must have an in-depth understanding of project life cycle and what each phase implies • Must have excellent communication skills – Both written and oral • Must be able to manage situations of conflict and work professionally and efficiently with collaborators to arrive at a solution • Needs to demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly • Needs to show ability to multi-task and shift gears for assorted topics during the project life cycle • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to delve into complicated situations (issues, people, processes etc.), sort information and propose the solution/next steps Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with focus on IT, Business Administration, or other relevant fields of study. • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in Banking. Languages: • English & French
