We’re Fruitland Manufacturing, a vacuum pump manufacturer specializing in truck and trailer-mounted vacuum pumps and systems. Our vacuum pumps can be found in agriculture, waste management, oil and gas, and many other industries. Responsibilities Maintains shipping/receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Understands, learns and develops shipping protocols for different shipping companies for national and international incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensures accuracy of shipments verifying quantities, ship-to addresses, and proper packing are appropriately addressed. Complies with federal, provincial, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system. Utilizes lean techniques to ensure adequate inventory levels with demand. Maintains physical condition of warehouse. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results. Manages warehouse staff for optimal job results through coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring. Maintains professional and technical knowledge; reviews professional publications; establishes professional networks; participating in professional societies as directed by General Manager. Maintains good relations with customers, shipping companies, drivers, and staff. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Skills/Requirements Proven supervisory skills and team leadership. Experience in developing and managing budgets. Strong commitment to safety management and adherence to safety standards. Ability to develop and implement organizational standards. Proficient in managing processes and workflow optimization. Expertise in inventory control and management. Strong reporting skills and the ability to analyze information effectively. Knowledge of equipment maintenance practices. Demonstrated good judgment and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with Lean principles, including Kanban and min/max inventory processes. A diploma/degree in a relevant specialty or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in the field or in a related area. Requirements
