*Optometric Assistant* *Innisfail Eyecare Centre* Innisfail Eyecare Centre is seeking a dedicated and professional Optometric Assistant to join our practice. *Position Type:* Full-time *Schedule:* Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM ? 5:00 PM. We are unable to accommodate exceptions to these hours. *Compensation:* Commensurate with experience. This is an entry-level position for candidates without prior experience; training will be provided. *Position Overview* The Optometric Assistant will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Responsibilities include assisting with patient intake and pre-testing, supporting the optometrist during examinations, and providing guidance to patients on eyewear selection. *Qualifications and Requirements* * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Emotional intelligence and maturity in patient and team interactions * Demonstrated reliability and punctuality * Strong self-motivation and a proactive approach to work * Prior experience in optometry or a related healthcare field is considered an asset but is not required * Fluency in English * Reliable personal transportation to and from the workplace * Legal eligibility to work in Canada; the organization is unable to provide sponsorship *What We Offer* * A collaborative and supportive team environment * Consistent daytime working hours * Opportunities for professional development within the eyecare field *Application Process* Qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume through Indeed.
