Location: Toronto Contract: 6 month (potential of extension) Hybrid: 1-2 days a week onsite Pay Rate: $35-40/hour JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is seeking a Consultant, PCT Governance & Controls for a large financial institution. This individual will support the HR/People & Culture function by strengthening the organization's governance, risk, and control environment. The successful candidate will assess risks, document and test controls, maintain process documentation, support audits and compliance initiatives, and partner with business leaders to ensure effective control management across HR processes. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 5+ years of experience in Governance, Risk & Controls (GRC), Internal Controls, Audit, or Compliance - Hands-on experience with control documentation, control assessments, and control testing (non-IT controls) - Knowledge of financial reporting, operational, and regulatory controls - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage business partners - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Experience within banking, financial services, or other large, complex organizations NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Knowledge of HR/People & Culture processes - Experience supporting HR controls, compliance, or governance initiatives - Familiarity with control frameworks, risk taxonomies, and control lifecycle management - Experience supporting audits, remediation activities, and regulatory compliance programs - Process improvement and controls enhancement experience Vacancy: This posting is for a currently vacant role, and the successful candidate will be hired into an existing open position. *Artificial Intelligence tools are used to assist in screening and assessing applicants for this position

Requirements

Requires 5+ years of experience in governance, risk and controls, internal controls, audit, or compliance, including hands-on control documentation, assessment, and testing. Candidates should understand financial, operational, and regulatory controls and bring strong stakeholder communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ideally from banking or another large, complex organization.
